Hello,
This IS Chet...C.N.Redd...the Devil's Advocate himself.
So what have I been up to?...Living...
I can honestly say the best memories I have are of the times in the ring and hanging out with the fans afterward (which, as some of you know, I come from that same fan crowd...I was always "Chet" to most of them).
Unfortunately, the worst memories are of the politics and BS wrestlers have to deal with outside of the ring, and quite frankly, I got sick of it by the time I was 22(1992) and gave it up (I did a match for a friend in 1996, but that was a one-time thing as a favor). One good thing was that I wasn't around for long-term damage to the body.
I eventually ended up loading trucks for awhile, but knew I could make something more of myself, so I quit that and went back to school. I earned a degree in computer science and joined the technology workforce...where I've been for the last decade and a half (been with the same company since '97)
When I was 31, I got into a car crash and spent 9 days in a coma...11 broken bones, sinuses shattered, and a few missing teeth. Now I got permanent nerve damage in my right hand and next to my right eye. And scars galore. But the alternative was worse, so I consider myself very lucky. But if I was ever thinking about a comeback in wrestling, that pretty much finished it. (Which was OK because I was never planning a comeback anyway).
As a hobby, I run a political forum on the 'net called "Political Wrinkles" (http://politicalwrinkles.com...I'm the administrator; cnredd). If anyone ever needs to get in touch with me, you can reach me there (or my email "cnreddpw@comcast.net).
I hope to hear from some of you and get a little nostalgic...and, of course, make fun of that dork Rockin' Rebel. ;D
